Cookies and local storage
What is covered
This page covers cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage used by nexroom. We distinguish necessary storage from optional product analytics.
Cookies and storage we use
This section describes what information is stored in your browser, why it is needed and how long it is kept. Some cookie names vary and are therefore shown as name patterns.
- roomconfigurator_locale — Stores the language explicitly selected by the visitor. 1 year
- sb-{projectRef}-auth-token and any numbered parts — Maintains sign-in and secure session control. Up to 400 days from the latest cookie update. The cookie is removed when you sign out. Its storage period does not determine how long your sign-in remains valid.
- nexroom_invitation_context — Binds a short-lived invitation context to the correct browser. 15 minutes
- nexroom_recovery_context — Binds a short-lived password recovery context to the correct browser. 15 minutes
- nexroom_account_step_up — Protects sensitive account actions with a short-lived step-up check. 5 minutes
- nexroom_account_action_context — Binds account-deletion confirmation to the correct request and browser. 15 minutes
- nexroom_auth_session_reset_20260429_email_rename — Records that a legacy authentication session has been securely cleared. Until site data is cleared
- nexroom:selection-handoff:v3:{uuid} — Transfers an explicitly selected package once without placing the selection in the URL. Up to 30 minutes
- nexroom:room-builder-draft:v1:{userId}:{draftId} — Restores an unsaved Room Builder draft the user is working on. 30 minutes
- nexroom:room-duplicate-attempt:v1:{roomId} — Reuses the same technical attempt after an ambiguous response so the room is not duplicated twice. Up to 30 minutes
- nexroom:room-builder-workspace:v2:{handoffId} — Restores an in-progress solution after the explicitly requested package handoff. 30 minutes or until the solution is saved
- nexroom_cookie_preferences_v1 — Stores the browser's choice about optional product analytics. Up to 180 days, until withdrawn or the inventory version changes
- nexroom_analytics_consent_v1 — Lets the telemetry endpoint verify the browser's current choice before accepting an optional event. 180 days
Consent and necessary storage
Necessary storage is used for features you explicitly request, such as language choice, sign-in, secure account recovery, a package handoff and recovery of an in-progress Room Builder draft. It cannot be disabled in nexroom's settings because the service could then not provide the feature securely.
Product analytics is optional and remains off until you actively choose to allow it. You can refuse as easily as you allow and change your choice at any time. Withdrawal stops future analytics events but does not automatically erase data already processed lawfully.
Product telemetry and network data
After you consent, nexroom may send limited first-party events to the same website to understand which product journeys are used and whether they work. Events contain an event type, time and limited product dimensions, but no dedicated analytics identifier in the payload. Server and platform logs may nevertheless include IP address, user agent and session cookies. The analytics choice is stored in localStorage and proven to the endpoint with a cookie for up to 180 days.
Managing storage
You can open Cookie settings on this page to allow or refuse product analytics. You can also delete site data in your browser settings. This may sign you out, reset your language choice and remove unconsumed handoffs or local drafts.
Your optional analytics choice
Open settings to allow, reject or withdraw optional product analytics. Necessary storage is not affected.
